The collaboration gives eligible SRMIST students a continuous pathway to discover career directions, build job readiness, demonstrate their capabilities, and prepare for employment through SpectraSeek’s Employability Intelligence platform.

KATTANKULATHUR, CHENNAI — 5 October 2026 — SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), through its Career Development Centre at the Kattankulathur campus, has collaborated with SpectraSeek, the Employability Intelligence platform from InterspectAI, to give eligible students a continuous pathway to understand, build, and demonstrate job readiness before they enter the hiring process.
The initiative brings career exploration, readiness assessment, AI-powered practice, skill development, and evidence of demonstrated capability into a connected student journey — helping students understand where they stand, what they need to improve, and how to prepare for relevant opportunities. Hiring decisions remain with employers. The programme is preparation. It is not a placement or a job guarantee.
Hiring has moved ahead of the campus calendar
Volume hiring now routinely includes automated screens, structured interviews, and software-assisted shortlisting. Students who meet that process for the first time in the week of a drive are walking into a format they have not practised.
A résumé remains an important part of the process, but it captures only part of a student’s story. It does not, by itself, show how someone explains a project, approaches a technical problem, communicates an idea, or improves through feedback. SpectraSeek is the layer the Career Development Centre is adding underneath existing placement work, so practice happens before the interview is real and readiness is clearer before an opportunity opens.
“The transition from education to employment should not begin when a recruiter arrives on campus. Students need time to discover where they want to go, understand where they stand, build what is missing, and prove what they can do. Our collaboration with SRMIST is an important step toward making employability readiness a continuous journey rather than a last-minute activity.”
— Lawrence Paranidharan, Founder & CEO, InterspectAI
What eligible students receive
Students begin on the partnership page and continue in Student Hub. The journey is a sequence, not a single mock left behind after one sitting.
- Discover. Explore and confirm a career direction.
- Build. Understand gaps and develop job readiness through focused learning and coaching.
- Practice. Prepare through assessments, interviews, projects, and coaching, including work with Bella, SpectraSeek’s AI coach.
- Prove. Accumulate evidence of demonstrated capability, so a student approaches an opportunity already knowing where they stand.
- Connect. Approach relevant opportunities better prepared. Those opportunities continue to be governed by SRMIST’s Career Development Centre.
Bella supports technical, behavioural, and role-specific interviews. A student can bring a job description and practise against that role. Students can practise repeatedly, while the Intelligence Matrix distinguishes practice activity from stronger evidence generated through structured assessments and validation. The aim is confidence before a real interview, not a certificate issued after one quiz.
The same path covers the rounds a placement season runs: aptitude, group discussion, role-specific and technical interviews, and conversations about projects and the résumé.
The Intelligence Matrix
At the centre of the student experience is the Intelligence Matrix. It draws together signals from the résumé, assessments, projects, aptitude, communication, Bella interviews, and coaching. It is designed to grow as evidence grows. Rather than assigning a definitive readiness score from a single interaction, it develops progressively as students complete assessments, demonstrate skills, practise, receive feedback, and add evidence over time.
Students see this experience through My Intelligence, while My Career Path helps translate that intelligence into practical next steps.
Alongside the Career Development Centre
SpectraSeek complements SRMIST’s existing placement ecosystem rather than replacing it. The Career Development Centre continues to manage student eligibility, recruiter relationships, and campus opportunities, while SpectraSeek provides the readiness, practice, and intelligence layer that helps students prepare earlier. Access under this announcement is for eligible SRMIST students, and the work a student begins remains theirs in Student Hub.
Availability
Eligible SRMIST students can start from the partnership page. Universities that want the same layer on their own campus can book a conversation with SpectraSeek.

About SpectraSeek
SpectraSeek is an employability intelligence platform from InterspectAI. It helps students and institutions understand career readiness, build capability, and prepare for opportunities with greater clarity. Students build and keep an Intelligence Matrix — a living picture drawn from the résumé, assessments, projects, interviews, and coaching. Institutions see that picture earlier and still decide when an opportunity is published. SpectraSeek does not guarantee employment. More information: spectraseek.ai.
